INDEPENDENT MEDICAL EXAMINATIONS (IME)
Independent medical examinations (IMEs) are comprehensive medical examinations conducted for the purpose of workman’s compensation claims. The purpose is to confirm the nature, and extent of claimants injury. The physician will review pertinent medical records pertaining to the treatment of the claimant’s case and conduct a focused medical examination followed by a written report detailing the results of the doctors findings.
MMP is a physician owned and operated practice which has performed countless IME’s. MMP will perform IMEs for Attorney/Petitioner when scheduled by Law Firm. Dr. Cornejo has received extensive training in becoming a Certified as an Independent Medical Examiner by the ABIME (American Board of Independent Medical Examiners).
Our specialized team handles all of the administrative work involving the IME’s including but not limited to:
- IME Coordinator handles all aspects of the IME process with attorneys.
- Receiving and processing of all medical documents and preparing chart for physician review
- Scheduling of evaluations

Social Security Disability Examinations
Consultative examinations (CEs) are independent medical examinations requested by Social Security Administration. Physicians at MMP have conducted CE’s since 2013 for both the state of NJ and VA. MMP has provided internal medicine, orthopedic/musculoskeletal, pediatric, neurological, and psychological evaluations.

VA Compensation and Pension (C&P) Exams
Momentum Medical Exam Plus has worked with government contractors in performing C&P exams for our veterans. MMP is pleased to offer this important service to both active duty claimants and veterans. Our medical providers are able to offer either in person or online examinations with utmost professionalism. We pride ourselves in objective and thorough evaluations and reports.
